Who Is Claude BertoniThank you for stopping by my site.
My name is Claude Bertoni and I am the owner of K-9iQ Dog Obedience and Behaviour Training. I have been involved with dogs all of my life but I completed the National Dog Trainers Federation Dog Obedience Trainers Course in 1995 as a result of owning a great black GSD called Rendorf, and haven't looked back. That is Ren in the photo. In fact, I owe my passion directly to that magnificent animal and friend, who taught me so much about dog behaviour. Thanks, Ren!!! Since then I have successfully completed accredited courses in Security and Protection Training, Canine Behaviour Specialist, Substance Detection and I have lectured on many NDTF courses dealing with K9 Aggression and Behaviour Modification. I was fortunate to receive a lifetime membership to the NDTF in 2009. |
What Makes Me TickMy new dog (now 13) is another amazing animal called Lucifer. Be careful what you name your dogs lol.
As well as assisting people day to day with their precious pets, I also work with a company called TASK-9 assisting agencies such as VicPol Dog Squad, Australian Federal Police, Corrective Services and the Australian Army SASR in Perth. The Director of TASK-9 is Mr Boyd Hooper widely regarded as the best dog training mind in Australia. Boyd has been my mentor for over 20 years and has shaped my detailed understanding of dog behaviour greatly. I run seminars to the general public and other dog training organisations with a special focus on dog to dog and dog to human aggression, obsessive behaviour modification, and complex problem-solving. I established K-9iQ in 2002 while working at ADT in order to cover a significant gap in society where dogs with issues too extreme for dog training centres had a place to go. In the years since then, K-9iQ has managed to save hundreds of dogs from the dreaded green dream, despite current legislation limitations. My passion rests with sorting out issues in dogs that others are afraid of, or have no idea how to resolve and to see that smile on a face of a client that was otherwise in distress before I could help. The only dog I cant help is a dead one :-). Let's face it, I love all dogs and I love to see people happy. I am truly fortunate and very grateful for every opportunity I receive. |

Successful Training requires Good Training Methods and equally as important Consistent Effort from Dog Owners.
K-9iQ is able to resolve the vast majority of Dog Behaviour Problems in just one session, however some will require on-going attention by you with my Free on call assistance to help you get it right. If for some reason I am not able to do this, follow up sessions will be offered at significantly reduced rates until the issue is resolved. I will know this once I have assessed the problems your Adult Dog or Puppy is experiencing. I target the cause of the problem not the symptoms so this may take a little longer to resolve. I will design a simple and straight forward training programme for you to follow on completion of our in home session together. If after this you are still not happy with my service I will happily refund you your initial consultation fee less my modest call out charge. |
